Achieved after obtaining Class Q permission, this new build home features a vaulted single-storey kitchen diner that opens up to the landscape, allowing natural light to flood the space and creating a seamless connection with the outdoors. A sleek flat-roof link transitions into the double-storey living area, which boasts spacious bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities and private views, thus ensuring comfort and style.
The design not only fulfils the client's vision of a modern yet natural home but also reflects the traditional agricultural forms prevalent in the area. By replacing three existing barns with a single dwelling, we have reduced the overall footprint by over 30% compared to the previously approved structures. This strategic approach allows for better integration within the landscape, addressing both visual and ecological impacts.
