Studio
NPAS began as a small, family-run practice in 2007, when Nigel founded the business from his home office. Initially working as a sole practitioner, Nigel was soon joined by his wife Debbie, whose administrative support quickly evolved into a deep passion for planning strategy. Together, they laid the foundation for a practice built on dedication, expertise, and a shared commitment to helping clients navigate the complexities of planning and design.
Over the past 17 years, NPAS has grown into a thriving team of 12, each member bringing their own expertise and passion for architecture. Our focus has always been on delivering thoughtful, functional designs tailored to the unique demands of each project. This approach has resulted in a consistent track record of successful planning applications and satisfied clients.
Our Approach
At NPAS, we design buildings that make the most of their surroundings, whether it’s the natural environment, the path of the sun, or the views.
Our passion lies in using cohesive materials and architectural forms in a contemporary way, ensuring our designs feel timeless while harmonising with their environment. Every project starts with a thorough understanding of the client’s vision and goals.
From there, we explore all options to create a solution that is not only achievable but also durable, practical, and tailored to each unique project. Our detailed planning strategies ensure the design and site work together to create successful applications.

Process
A seamless process
We pride ourselves on making the architectural process as transparent and seamless as possible. Our team is committed to simplifying complexities and guiding you every step of the way.
Initial Consultation: We begin with a free, up to one hour consultation to understand your vision, budget, and requirements. This allows us to assess your site, discuss preliminary ideas, and outline the steps involved in bringing your project to life.
Conceptual & Detailed Design: Using advanced CAD systems, we develop initial design concepts tailored to your needs. Once a concept is chosen, we create detailed drawings and 3D visualisations that communicate the design clearly, ensuring you feel confident about the direction of the project.
Planning & Regulatory Guidance: Navigating planning submissions and building regulations can be challenging, but we handle it for you. Our expertise ensures that all necessary documentation is prepared, submitted, and managed efficiently, allowing you to proceed smoothly through the approval process.
From start to finish, our aim is to make the architectural journey of expanding your home or portfolio an enjoyable and stress-free experience, giving you peace of mind as your vision becomes reality.
